Hirofumi Mitsumata joined the firm in 2004 as a counsel
thereto, after serving as a Corporate Counsel for AT&T-Japan and Lucent
Technologies-Japan for 16 years. Mr. Mitsumata has particular expertise
in the field of Semiconductor, Laser, Information Technologies, Superconductivity,
Radio, Optical and Wired communications, Optical fiber and IC Processing.
During working for Toshiba, he developed his technologies in the filed
of Fuel Cell, Optical devises and Co2 laser. He has also experience for
Japanese companies in patent prosecution before European Patent Office.
Before beginning his legal career, Mr. Mitsumata was
involved in developing/designing Circuit Breaker for High Power e.g. 500KV
for 7+ years. He has 7 patents relating to technical fields where he pertained
to. He was also sophisticated inventor.
